How to Add a Top Bar in Multi WordPress Theme?

To use an additional top bar above your website’s header, from your WordPress Dashboard go to Appearance > Customize > Top bar. You will find many customization options for your top bar’s layout and style:

  • Show top bar – choose whether to show a top bar on your page.
  • Show top bar in sticky header – choose whether to show a top bar on your page with a sticky header.
  • Top bar height – set the top bar height in pixels.
  • Top bar background color – set the top bar’s background color.
  • Top bar background color (in sticky header) – set the top bar’s background color for a sticky header.
  • Top bar text color – set the top bar’s text color.
  • Top bar link color – set the top bar’s links color.
  • Top bar link hover color – set the top bar’s links hover color.
  • Top bar message – you can add a custom text to your top bar.
    Note: this can include a telephone number, additional information, or a call to action.
  • Top bar message position – set the position of the top bar message to left, center, or right. To hide the top bar message, choose don’t show.
  • Top bar menu position – set the position of the top bar menu to left, center, or right. To hide the top bar menu, choose don’t show.
    Note: to assign a menu to the top bar, go to Dashboard > Appearance > Menus. There you can choose a preexisting menu or create a new one.
  • Top bar social links position – set the position of the top bar social links to left, center, or right. To hide the top bar social links, choose don’t show.
